Powys About us
Inclusive practices are at the heart of everything we strive to achieve within Powys’ ALN & Inclusion Department. We understand that to achieve inclusion there needs to be partnership working from all parties involved. We also understand that trying to get the best advice and support for your child’s additional learning needs can be a difficult, emotional and stressful time; it may involve a range of professionals from education, health and children’s services to name a few all of which may be daunting. It is our wish that families have access to information, advice and guidance in relation to the Additional Learning Needs for their children and Young People. It is essential to us that the views of children (where appropriate), young people and families are listened to and taken into consideration. Sometimes help, support and guidance for children, young people and families may be needed in order to achieve this. In order to do this we offer support and guidance in a number of ways.
