Resolving Concerns

In Ceredigion we have more than one option for providing a parent partnership approach for the parents and carers of pupils with special educational needs (SEN)/additional learning needs (ALN). In the first instance, we encourage parents to contact the SEN co-ordinator (SENCO) within their child’s school in order to discuss any concerns.

If you feel that you still have concerns and queries after talking to the school SENCO, Ceredigion’s Learning Services have an SEN/ALN Pupil and Family Support Co-ordinator: Delor Harvey. Delor will be able to answer your questions and provide information and advice by telephone, e-mail or face-to-face.

Contact: 01545 570881 or email delor.harvey@ceredigion.gov.uk

If after following the above steps you remain concerned Ceredigion’s Learning Services also offer a parent partnership service. This is where parents/carers can request a meeting with members of the SEN/ALN team in order to discuss their concerns and receive advice and support. A parent partnership meeting can be arranged by contacting the SEN administration team or Delor (SEN/ALN Pupil and Family Support Co-ordinator) who will contact the most appropriate team member and arrange a suitable date, location and time.
